Raleigh, North Carolina, United States, February 3, 2009 Beckwith Electric Partners with Elster to Provide Innovative DNP-based Solutions

Elster, a leader in smart metering and smart grid systems and solutions, today announced that Beckwith Electric has joined Elster’s Advanced Grid Infrastructure (AGI) Initiative. The initiative is a collaborative effort between utilities, Elster, and key technology partners to realize solutions for grid modernization.

Beckwith Electric is working with Elster to leverage Elster’s smart grid technology for the control and monitoring of Beckwith Electric’s devices such as capacitor bank controllers and transformer load tap changing voltage regulators using DNP, a common industry protocol.
