 The meter stores demand data for up to 3 quantities selected from the following:

• total demand of the demand metered quantity
• demand for a specific tier of the demand metered quantity

Depending on the meter firmware version, the REX2 meter is capable of recording one or, beginning with meter firmware version 4.0, two sets of interval data. Each set contains 1 or 2 channels of information, depending on how the meter is programmed. Each set has its own, separate interval length that is configured independently. With two sets, it is possible to use set 1 to record interval data and to use set 2 as an instruementation profile log. It is also possible to program the meter to use set 1 and set 2 to record 4-quadrant energy values.

REX2 meters are available with an optional 200 A integrated service control switch. Based on significant field experience, the REX2 service control switch has been optimized to provide low contact resistance for increased life. REX2 meters support advanced demand limiting and lockout functionality, and switches may be operated by authorized utility personnel through the network or locally at the meter.

The REX2 meter uses full 128-bit AES encryption when communicating over the EnergyAxis network. The meter’s many status and error alerts are reportable though the network, quickly notifying the utility of possible meter tampering or energy theft.
